FIFA and UEFA referee Szymon Marciniak will officiate the 2022/2023 UEFA Champions League final between Inter Milan and Manchester City in Istanbul on June 10.

The Polish referee was in charge of the 2022 FIFA World Cup final between Argentina and France at the Lusail Iconic Stadium in Doha on December 18, 2022.

Szymon Marciniak put up a brilliant performance as centre referee in a game many dubbed the greatest World Cup final ever.

His performance in Qatar has earned him another high-profile encounter as he will officiate the grand finale of Europe's most prestigious club competition.

The 42-year-old will officiate the game together with the same crew that officiated the 2022 World Cup final.

He was the centre referee when Manchester City thrashed 14-time winners Real Madrid at the Etihad Stadium in the semi-final second leg.
