Premier League is the ultimate - Okocha tells Osimhen

Former Super Eagles midfielder Austin Jay-Jay Okocha has admonished high-flying Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen to move to the Premier League.

The 24-year-old who has been phenomenal for the runaway Serie A leaders is reportedly on the radar of top Premier League clubs including Manchester United and Chelsea.

The Super Eagles striker has also disclosed his interest to compete in the English topflight.

Speaking to the BBC, Okocha hailed the former Lille striker for his remarkable performance this season.

The ex-Super Eagles captain also urged the Nigerian international to taste the highest level of English football.


“Well I mean he’s done well, he’s having a great season, the ex-Bolton man told the BBC.

“And I think he duly deserves the praise he’s getting, but the ultimate for him is to play in the Premier League which he has made clear as well.”

Osimhen has scored 21 league goals in 23 appearances for Luciano Spallett's side who are marching towards their first Scudetto title in over three decades.
