Arsenal are still topping the Premier League table after match week 18 following their 1-1 epic draw against Liverpool at Anfield.

The two English giants faced off in an entertaining clash on Saturday evening, December 23.

The Athletic reports that both Gabriel Magalhaes and Mohamed Salah were on target as the tie ended all square.

The Gunners took the lead inside four minutes of action via a set piece before Liverpool restored parity through Salah, who found the back of the net with a stunner in the 29th minute.

Efforts by either side to score the winner proved futile, with the spoils shared after 90 minutes of action.
The draw has Arsenal leading the charts with 40 points, a point ahead of second-placed Liverpool.

Aston Villa remain third with 39 points following their 1-1 draw with Sheffield United on Friday, while Tottenham Hotspur complete the top four podium with 36 points after seeing off Everton 2-1 on Saturday.

Man United, Newcastle stumble

Elsewhere, Manchester United were silenced 2-0 at West Ham United on Saturday to suffer a massive blow in their hopes of closing in on a top-four spot.

Sky Sports reports that two quickfire goals from Jarrod Bowen and Mohammed Kudus condemned the Red Devils to a comprehensive defeat.

United's loss has them sitting eighth in the standings with 28 points, six points behind fifth-placed Man City, and a point behind seventh-placed Newcastle, who lost 1-0 at Luton Town.
