Pep Guardiola has predicted which club could win the Premier League title this season following Manchester City's clash against Arsenal.

City and the Gunners are two of the three favourites to win the title after an impressive run of form this term.

However, the two English giants failed to take full control of the title race after they settled for a goalless draw when they locked horns on Sunday, March 31.

Arsenal went into the tie with the hope of returning to the summit of the table, having dropped to second momentarily after Liverpool's 2-1 hard-fought win over Brighton.

Metro UK reports that Sunday's result at the Etihad Stadium mean the Reds are now two points clear of Mikel Arteta's men at the top of the table, while City are three points behind.

Guardiola makes EPL title prediction

With only nine games left to end the season, Guardiola has shared his perspective on how the title race could pan out.

Speaking after his side's drab draw against the Gunners, the Spaniard claimed Liverpool are now in the driving seat to win the domestic crown.

"Yeah, the one who is first is favourite," Pep said via The Mirror when asked if Liverpool are now the title favourites.

"The second favourite is Arsenal and we are the third," he added.

Meanwhile, City will now be hoping to return to winning ways when they take on Aston Villa on Wednesday, April 3.

On their part, Arsenal will be playing Luton Town, as Liverpool take on Sheffield United at Anfield.

What City needed to beat Arsenal

At the same time, Sports Brief reported on Guardiola giving a bizarre explanation of what City needed to do to beat the Gunners at home.

The Citizens' hopes of successfully defending the Premier League crown this season hang in the balance after the drab draw against the north Londoners.
