Tickets for Nigeria’s game against Portugal at Estadio Jose Alvalade on the 17th of November have been sold out.

Nigeria’s Super Eagles failed to make the World Cup after losing to Ghana. But they will take on Portugal in what is the Selecao’s only pre-World Cup game.

Portugal play Ghana in one of their group stage games of the Mundial, and they chose to play Nigeria because of the similarities in both teams’ style of play. Also, Super Eagles’ Portuguese coach Jose Peseiro may have played a significant role.

The Portuguese seem to be upbeat about the game, as reports from sapo.pt suggests that tickets for the fixture have been sold out.

Estadio Jose Alvalade has a 50,000 capacity, yet tickets had already finished two days before the fixture.

Portugal will jet out for Qatar on Friday. They begin their World Cup campaign on the 25th of November with a game against Ghana.

The Super Eagles started training two days ago, and coach Peseiro already has a full house for the fixture.
