Portugal holds first training ahead of Super Eagles friendly

The Portuguese national team began their preparation ahead of their friendly against the Super Eagles at the Cidade do Futebol in Lisbon on Monday, November 14.

The PUNCH reports that 26 players took part in the training session including Manchester United duo of Cristiano Ronaldo and Bruno Fernandez, Athletico Madrid's Joao Felix, Pepe and Manchester City's Bernado.

Others include Ruben Dias, Rui Patricio, Joao Cancelo, Nuno Mendes, Vitinha, and Diogo Dalot among others.

“The Portuguese team began their training (for the Nigeria friendly) on Monday with all the players listed in the World Cup squad,” Portuguese journalist Diogo André told The PUNCH.

“Every Portuguese is looking forward to the game as more than 44,000 tickets have already been sold for the match.”

Elsewhere in Algés, Lisbon, 11 Super Eagles players trained ahead of Thursday's clash.

Nantes' Terem Moffi, Chidozie Awaziem, Frank Onyeka, and Bright Osayi-Samuel will be joining the Super Eagles camp later according to reports.
