Despite mounting pressure from fans urging him to resign, Mauricio Pochettino has firmly declared that he will not be vacating his role as Chelsea manager.

Chelsea's performance has been below par despite huge spending on stars like Enzo Fernandez, Moise Caicedo, Cole Palmer among other stars.

The Blues find themselves in the bottom half of the Premier League table and are closer to the relegation zone than the top four as Pochettino continues to struggle in his first season in charge of the London club.

Chelsea's performance this season is no different from last season when they finished in 12th position at the end of the campaign.

Currently, Pochettino's side sit in 11th position with 43 points after 26 matches after recording 10 wins, 10 draws and 6 defeats, as per Sofascore

Speaking ahead of Monday night's Premier League action against Newcastle United, the former PSG boss insisted that he will not step down as manager of the club.

"No, no, no. Why? Never," he said as quoted by Fabrizio Romano.

"You need to ask the players. But you can say the way they behave, it's clear they are behind us".

The Blues will welcome The Magpies to Stamford Bridge later today in what will be their 27th Premier League game of the season.
