Super Eagles Head Coach Jose Peseiro has dispensed some advice to Nigeria's U-17 team ahead of the 2023 Nations Cup in Algeria.

The Portuguese gaffer who visited the team's training session at the NFF/FIFA Goal Project pitch, Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja, described Nigeria as a country with an abundance of talent.

He charged the team to maintain their hard work as they prepare for the U-17 Nations Cup.

The ex-Sporting Lisbon manager also urged the players who will not make the cut to hold their heads up high.

“I am impressed with what I have seen with the performance of the players here. Nigeria is known for having very talented players, so I am therefore not surprised with the performance of these players,” Peseiro said.

“You have to keep working hard and keep improving your game. Unfortunately, not all the players here will be selected. You should not give up if you fail to make the final team,” he added.

The TotalEnergies U-17 Africa Cup of Nations will kick off on April 29.

The Golden Eaglets have been pitted in Group B alongside Zambia, Morocco and South Africa.
