Peseiro pumped up for Portugal friendly

Super Eagles head coach Jose Peseiro is looking forward to Nigeria's clash against former European champions Portugal slated for November.

The three-time African champions failed in their quest to end their poor run against Algeria on Tuesday, September 27 as they succumbed to a 2-1 defeat against the Desert Foxes.

The former Sporting Lisbon manager believes it is time his side put the defeat against Algeria behind them and switch their attention to their next game against Portugal.

The Portuguese gaffer added that he will hope all his injured players recover in time for the game.

“I am happy to play against Portugal. It is my country. We will do a good match,” Peseiro said.

“I hope the players who are injured recover in time for this match.

“I will choose the best players, but I hope no big injuries in the team.”

The Super Eagles will return to action against Cristiano Ronaldo-led Portuguese side on November 17.
