'Pathetic' – Piers Morgan fires Arsenal after Brighton defeat

Popular TV presenter and Arsenal fan, Piers Morgan has slammed the London club following their defeat to Brighton on Sunday, May 14 which ultimately ends their title chase.

Arsenal were in the pole position to win the league for the first time since 2004 but the 3-0 loss to sixth-place Brighton means they fall four points behind City who have one game in hand.

Morgan in his reaction described Arsenal's performance against Brighton as ‘pathetic’.

Julio Enciso, Pervis Estupinan and Deniz Undav were on the scoresheet for the visitors at the Emirates Stadium.

Reacting, Morgan, however, believes the title race is ‘all over’ for Arsenal this season.

Morgan tweeted after the game, “All over. Totally outplayed by a team that just lost 1-5 to Everton. A horribly lacklustre, passion-devoid, spiritless, pathetic performance that cements an inexplicably dismal run-in to a season which promised so much. Bottom line: we choked. #afc”.
