Osimhen reacts to transfer speculations

Napoli Starman Victor Osimhen has reacted to transfer speculations linking him with a move away from Naples.

The 24-year-old has disclosed that he intends to stay at the Diego Armando Maradona despite being courted by some top clubs in Europe.

The Super Eagles striker had a phenomenal season with Napoli last season, helping the Naples-based team to clinch their first Scudetto title in 33 years.

The Nigerian international also won Capocannoniere award after scoring 26 league goals for the Luciano Spalletti-led side.

The ex-Lille striker netted 31 goals in 39 appearances across all competitions for the Parthenopeans the last term.

The reigning Serie A best striker is currently in Nigeria for the off-season.

Speaking on his future in an interview with Soccernet, the Napoli talisman stated that he is happy in Naples, and he has no plans on leaving the club this summer.

“They show all their players love. And wherever I go, I am respected. Kids love me, a lot of people admire me, and they idolize me by putting on a replica of my mask.

“It shows the hard work I have given to them and what I mean to them. And for me, there’s no better place to be than this place.

“I am so happy I made the right choice by coming here.”

Among the clubs reportedly interested in Osimhen's services are Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool, and Paris Saint-Germain.
