Osimhen proud of Super Eagles victory over Central African Republic

Super Eagles and Napoli striker, Victor Osimhen has said he is proud of the team's performance against the Central African Republic.

This comes after the team faced heavy criticism following their surprising loss to the Wild Beasts in Lagos on Thursday.

The Napoli forward and Rangers defender Leon Balogun scored both to lead the Gernot Rohr’s tutored side to a 2-0 win over their hosts on Sunday.

The Super Eagles dominated the game and were rewarded for their impressive display when Balogun slotted home a minute before the half-hour mark.

The send come goal towards the end of the first half courtesy of Osimhen’s fine strike in the 44th minute.

The 22-year-old who has now scored eight goals in 16 league appearances for Super Eagles said, he is proud of their performance.

“I’m proud of this team ” the former Lille forward posted on Instagram.

The Super Eagles will now face Liberia in their next game on Thursday, November 11 in Accra.
