Osimhen on target as Napoli maintans Serie A top spot

Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen was on target as Napoli beat Bologna by 3-2 in the Italian Serie A at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium on Sunday, October 16.

The 23-year-old's 69th-minute strike sealed a hard-fought victory for Luciano Spalletti's side who recorded their 10th consecutive win across all competitions.

It was Osimhen's second consecutive goal on his return from injury. The former Lille attacker scored against Ajax in the Champions League last Wednesday when he was introduced as a sub on his return from injury.

The Super Eagles striker stepped up again when it mattered most when he came on in the second half to help his side record an important win.

Napoli maintained their position at the top of the Serie A standings with 26 points in 10 games, two more than Atalanta in second.
