Victor Osimhen said he’s not under pressure to perform at Napoli after joining the club in a record deal last July.
Osimhen signed for the Gennaro Gattuso’s side at the back of outstanding campaign for French side Lille Metropole, where he scored 19 goals in all competitions.
Napoli paid €72million for his services and he has scored just twice in the league this season, including the winner against Bologna last weekend.
Osimhen is yet to hit top form for the club, and some fans have blamed his hefty price tag.
While responding to the suggestion, Osimhen said he’s not under any pressure, but admitted he has to improve his performance.
He said: "No, there’s no pressure at all. I think for me it’s to continue to improve with the team.
“I just joined the team about four months ago and I’ve been doing quite well and I believe I can improve and I’m working hard towards that direction.”
