In-form Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen scored a brace as the Super Eagles beat Sierra Leone 3-2 at the Samuel Kanyon Doe Stadium in Monrovia to qualify for 2023 Nations Cup in Ivory Coast

The Napoli Starman gave Nigeria a two-goal lead in the first half before the Leone Stars staged a comeback in the second half to level the score at 2-2.

Leicester City forward Kelechi Iheanacho later came off the bench to grab the winner as Nigeria sealed their place in next year's AFCON with a game to spare.

With his latest brace, Osimhen has now surpassed Sadio Mane on the top scorer's chart in the qualifiers with 7 goals, two more than the Senegalese international.

The Napoli striker has notched 17 international goals for Nigeria. He has now surpassed captain Ahmed Musa and Odion Ighalo on the all-time top scorer's for Nigeria.
