Following their remarkable campaign in Serie A this term, Napoli Starman Victor Osimhen and his Head Coach Luciano Spalletti have switched their attention to UEFA Champions League.

Napoli are cruising in Serie A having opened a healthy 13-point gap at the top of the league log ahead of second-placed team Inter.

The Neapolitans have managed 18 league wins, 2 draws, and 1 defeat this season and are on course to win their first Scudetto title in over three decades.

Osimhen, 24, has been instrumental to the Naples-based side in their bid to end their three decades hunt for the league title.

The Super Eagles striker has scored 16 goals in 17 league appearances to clinch the top spot on the scorer's chart.

Italian media, Gazzetta dello Sport as per The PUNCH, reports that prior to signing his contract with the club, Osimhen declared his intention to win the UEFA Champions League with the Partenopei.

“I want to win the Champions League,” Osimhen told the Club President, De Laurentiis on the day he penned his five-year deal with the club.

As per a report by Sky Sport Italia, Luciano Spalletti has hailed his side's performance this season and has urged his team to replicate their performance in Serie A in the UCL.

“There are moments in life when you achieve results and then you can either stick or twist. We have no doubts about that, we have made our decision to gamble for double, going to attack every game and trying to achieve something for the love of these fans who were all praying for us today. We must be proud of the love Neapolitans have for us and translate that onto the pitch.”

Napoli finished at the top of their UCL group ahead of Liverpool, Ajax, and Glasgow Rangers, amassing a total of 15 points.

The Serie A leaders will take on Eintracht Frankfurt in the round of 16.
