Victor Osimhen finally ended his five-game goals drought on Wednesday scoring Napoli’s second goal in their 4-1 home win over Udinese.

The Nigerian scored in the 39th minute of the game ending a dry spell of 485 minutes without scoring a goal.

Osimhen had the chance to put Napoli ahead against Udinese after they were awarded a penalty, but he passed the ball over to Piotr Zielinski, allowing the Pole to net the opener in the 19th minute.

The Nigerian striker’s kindness was rewarded later in the match, when he comfortably dispatched the Partenopei’s second of the night 20 minutes later. The goal was his fourth of the season.

In his celebration, Osimhen ran over to the Napoli bench and hugged new signing Jesper Lindstrom, ignoring coach Rudi Garcia.

Samuel Chukwueze made his first Serie A start for AC Milan who continued their strong start to the league with a comfortable 3-1 triumph over Cagliari on Wednesday.

The Nigerian winger who played from the right flanks was replaced in the 69th minute for Luka Romero in what was his sixth appearance across all competitions. He is yet to make a goal contribution for the Rossoneri who now have five wins from six league games this season.

At the Stadio Carlo Castellani, Tyronne Ebuehi came on for injured Bartosz Bereszynski in the 17th minutes as Empoli secured their first league win of the Serie A campaign at the sixth time of asking, following a 1-0 home success over Salernitana.
