Super Eagles star, Victor Osimhen has opened up on his competition with World Cup winner Lautaro Martinez in the Italian Serie A since last season.

The former Lille striker had fierce competition with the Argentine forward last season in the Serie A, as they battled for the Capocannoniere until the last day in the league.

The Nigerian eventually won the award for the highest goal scorer with 26 goals from 32 games, while the Inter Milan striker scored 21 goals from 38 games.

In a recent interview with Emiliano Viviano and former Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli, Osimhen claimed that the World Cup winner is a leader in his team and he enjoys how they push themselves.

"He's a great leader for his team [Inter Milan] and a beautiful goal scorer," he said.

"I remember we had a very big one towards the end of last season, where we're chasing for the top scorer."

"We also push each other in trying to get the highest goal scorer. So for me, I think he's also a top guy, [you know now] he is the leader of his team and he's been doing well for them.

"I really don't know how to put in words trying to describe this amazing player. This type of player in Serie A is great for marketing.

"I really also like him a lot, and he has great abilities."

Osimhen is currently injured, and he is unavailable for Napoli at the moment, according to a report by the Punch.
