Italian television personality, Marika Fruscio has pleaded for calm from Nigerians after she criticised Super Eagles star, Victor Osimhen amid his recent issues with Napoli.
The Nigerian international deleted every post related to the Italian side from his Instagram account this week after being mocked by the club on their official TikTok handle.
Fruscio did not agree with the actions of Osimhen and went on a rant about the former Lille striker. This elicited sharp reactions from Nigerians, who blasted her in the comments under her post on Instagram.
The TV personality, who has set her account to private, responded to the fans who 'attacked' her online:
"Dear beloved people of Nigeria, I am a showgirl who also works in a TV program related to football," she said.
"In my comment and post, I did in reference to the Nigerian football player Victor Osimhen, didn't want to be offensive but was my only point of view and had to be understood as a personal suggestion."
Less than 24 hours after Nigerians stormed the page of Marika Fruscio for her statement over Victor Osimhen’s Saga with Napoli
