Oshoala dedicates Barcelona brace to late stepmom

Barcelona Femeni held a minute silence in honour of Asisat Oshoala's stepmom as they thrashed Rayo Vallecano by 7 goals to nil.

Oshoala announced the death of her stepmom on Tuesday.

The Super Falcons strike hit the back of the net twice in the emphatic win as she dedicated both goals to ger late stepmom.

Oshoala’s brace on Wednesday night takes her tally to 11 goals in 12 league games this season. Barcelona took the lead inside the opening four minutes courtesy of a strike from Jennifer Hermoso, Soccernet.ng said.

The win sees Barcelona maintain their 100% record in the Spanish top-flight with 12 wins from 12 matches. La Blaugranes are well on course to retain their title as they are currently five points clear at the top with two games in hand.
