Following Barcelona's Europa League draw against Manchester United on Monday, November 7, Super Falcons striker Asisat Oshoala has thrown her weight behind the Catalans to progress ahead of the Premier League giants.

The La Liga giants were handed what boss Xavi Hernandez described as the most difficult draw as they will square off against Erik ten Haag's side after the turn of the year for a place in the last 16 of Europe's second-tier club competition.

For a second consecutive year, the five-time UEFA Champions League winners failed to progress from the group stage of the competition after they finished 3rd in Group H behind Bayern Munich and Inter Milan.

In response to a question from a fan on which club the five-time African women's footballer of the year will be rooting for next year, Oshoala, who plies her trade for the Blaugrana female team humorously replied in pidgin that she will support the club that pays her salary.

"omo e b like say na who Dey pay me I go follow oo", the 27-year-old tweeted.

Barcelona and Manchester United have won 8 UCL titles between them. The two clubs faced each other in the UEFA Champions League grand finale in 2009 and 2011.
