Super Eagles hitman Paul Onuachu fired blank as KRC Genk played out a 2-2 draw with Standard Liege in the Belgian Jupiler league game at the Litmus Arena on Friday.

Onuachu who has scored 26 league goals for the club led the attack once again for Genk but failed to add to his tally before being substituted.

The former Midtjylland forward was replaced by his compatriot Cyriel Dessers with five minutes left to play.

After the goalless first half, Joao Klauss handed the visitors the lead in the 54th minutes of the encounter following an assist from Nicolas Gavory.

Genk responded and equalized five minutes later Junya Ito and Theo Bongonda combining the for the goal.

Gerardo Arteaga set up Junya Ito for his second of the game in the 72nd minute, but the lead lasts for only nine as Jackson Muleka leveled up for the visitors.

The draw was a blow for Genk who missed opportunities to go second on the log as the race for the second champions spot continue to heat up.
