Okocha, Ronaldinho are the most skillfull players in the history of football - Liverpool legend John Barnes

Liverpool legend John Barnes has named Austin Jay-Jay Okocha and Ronaldinho as the most skilful players in football history.

The former Newcastle United winger believes the duo are the most naturally gifted players the beautiful game has ever seen.

The former England international made the disclosure in a conversation with Thomas Mlambo on Premier League African GOATS part A show on Super Sports.

“When you talk about two of the most naturally gifted skilful players, I am not talking about playing in a team, but when you talk about the individual, the most skilful players in the world are two: Ronaldinho and Jay-Jay Okocha, the Pundit noted.

The former Watford man added that Okocha is more naturally gifted than Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo in terms of pure skill.

“The things he does on a football field which we do in the playground and training that we are not supposed to do in football matches, he does it better than Messi, Ronaldo anyone in terms of pure skill.”

Okocha scored 14 goals and provided 11 assists in 124 PL matches.

The Super Eagles legend and Ronaldinho played together in Paris Saint-Germain before Okocha moved to the Premier League in 2002.
