David Okereke was on parade for bottom placed Cremonese against league champions AC Milan on Tuesday.

Cremonese went into a league game for the first time this season with neither Cyriel Dessers nor Okereke in the starting XI.

While his striker partner Cyriel Dessers is still missing due to injury, Okereke was given a place on the bench but did come on in the second half.

With the game tied goalless, Cremonese’s boss introduced Okereke for Ghanaian forward Afena Gyan.

The Nigerian almost broke the deadlock minutes later. Okereke was released in an attacking transition, with his shot heading to the back of the net, but Fikayo Tomori recovered to make a decisive block.

Cremonese however held on for a goalless draw against the Champions who now remain eight points adrift leaders, Napoli.
