Ojo Olorunleke has revealed Imama Amapakabo was the “main point” to him joining Abia Warriors in the current transfer window.

The former Akwa United goalkeeper was on Friday unveiled by the Umuahia-based Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) outfit, whom he teamed up with from Sunshine Stars.

Ojo in a chat disclosed to brila.net that former Super Eagles assistant coach Amapakabo, who won the NPFL with Rangers in 2016, was the main reason he decided to shift base to Umuahia.

“To be frank with you, my coming here (Abia Warriors) is more encouraged with the coming of Imama Amapakabo.

“Abia Warriors is not a small club, and for them to have gone to the extent of employing him, it really shows that they mean business and ready for great things ahead of them.

“I think he is good, and Imama is one of the reasons that I even came here. He is a coach that every player would want to work with.

So, I thank God for this privilege that at last, what I have been longing for has finally come.” he Said.
