Nigerian forward, Odion Ighalo needed only 35 minutes to score the fastest hat-trick in the Saudi Pro League this season.

The former Manchester United striker was in red-hot form as Al Wehda defeated Damac following the resumption of the league after the international break.

Ighalo also became the fifth player to score a hat-trick in the league this season, joining Cristiano Ronaldo of Al Nassr, Al Ahli's Roberto Firminho, Malcom and Aleksandr Mitrovic of Al Hilal.

His three goals in 35 minutes made him the fastest hat-trick scorer in the league, according to the SPL.

The Super Eagles striker netted his first in the 17th minute but Damac levelled with nine minutes left to half-time.

However, the 34-year-old scored at the stroke of half-time from the spot to give the Eagles the lead.

Ighalo completed his hat-trick after the break with a fine finish in the 52nd minute as Al Wehda extended their advantage.

Ten minutes later Craig Godwin added Al Wehda's fourth before Sultan Faqihi netted with seven minutes remaining to half the deficit for Damac.

The ex-Watford star joined Al Wehda in the summer transfer window after leaving Al Hilal, as reported by kingfut.com.
