Fabrizio Romano is officially ranked first for the most influential accounts on Twitter, according to Social cap.

This was revealed by influential tweep Janty (@CFC_Janty) on Monday, August 14.

The social cap is a Notus metric that ‘represents how much influence an individual has based on who, how and when others engage with them.’

Fabrizio is a popular transfer market expert.

In 2021, Fabrizio Romano was ranked as the tenth most influential account on Twitter based on social capital from a study by Notus.

Dubbed the ‘Notable Clout drop,’ Notus has ranked the top 100 most influential Twitter accounts on the platform and Fabrizio Romano ranks tenth with a social cap score of 1.1 billion.

Since joining in July 2011, Romano has amassed over 18 million followers on Twitter and is widely regarded as the biggest source for football news today.

The 32-year-old from Naples, Italy has worked for Sky Sport, The Guardian and CBS Sports, based in Milan.

Romano found his break at age 17, still living with his parents and exclusively reported Mauro Icardi’s transfer from Barcelona B to Sampdoria after his agent contacted Romano looking him to write a number of articles about Icardi.

A year later at age 18, Romano again exclusively revealed Icardi’s high-profile transfer to Inter Milan and has been known as a transfer expert ever since.
