Nigeria and Wycombe striker, Uche Ikpeazu and Adebayo Akinfenwa were on target against Bristol in the Skybet Championship.

The 2-1 victory will go a long way in helping keep their fight against relegation alive.

Bristol City went in front when Adam Nagy played a cut-back pass to the path of Tyreeq Bakinson, who unleashed a ferocious shot that flew to the top-left corner from 25 yards, Brila.net said.

Uche Ikpeazu then equalized for Wycombe after he escaped from his marker to divert Anis Mehmeti’s deep cross in the net.

Akinfenwa almost scored the second minutes later after holding off his marker with a fine turn and shoot but he made a save at full stretch, according to Brila.net.

The veteran forward kept his cool moments later to score a penalty that gave his side the win.

It was Akinfenwa’s first goal of the season and it was enough to push the team to six points from safety.
