The Super Eagles of Nigeria The Super Eagles of Nigeria

The Super Eagles will look to end their barren run in friendly games when they take on the Mambas of Mozambique at the Estádio Municipal de Albufeira on Monday (today).

The three-time African champions have yet to win a friendly in five years- seven draws and eight losses.

Jose Peseiro’s side were held to a 2-2 draw by the Green Falcons of Saudi Arabia in their last friendly on Friday.

The Super Eagles have a good record against Mozambique.

They have yet to lose to the Mambas in four meetings- three wins and a draw.

Mozambique were held to a 1-1 draw by the Palancas Negras of Angola last Friday.

The Super Eagles will be without Victor Osimhen and Kelechi Iheanacho in this game.

Osimhen sustained a hamstring injury against Saudi Arabia, while Iheanacho has been excused from camp to attend to a personal issue.
