Nigeria vs Ghana: Ndidi, Dessers named in Super Eagles starting XI, check out full line-up

Leicester City midfielder Wilfred Ndidi and Rangers' Cyriel Dessers have been named in the Super Eagles starting line-up against Ghana.

The duo make their return to the team after missing the last African Cup of Nations in Cote d'Ivoire.

Ndidi, who was named in José Peseiro's initial squad for the tournament was ruled out with an injury whereas Cyriel Dessers was didn't make the cut.

Nigeria will start with Stanley Nwabali in post, with a back four of Ajayi, Tanimu, Osayi-Samuel and Awaziem.

Coach Finidi George opted for a midfield of Onyemaechi, Onyeka, Iwobi and Ndidi.

Cyriel Dessers and Kelechi Iheanacho will lead the attack in the absence the likes of Osimhen an Boniface.

With no Ahmed Musa and Troost-Ekong in the team, Wilfred Ndidi assume the captaincy role.
