Nigeria can now challenge for African player of the year - Ghanaians on Osimhen's exploit with Napoli

Ghanaians have been reacting to Victor Osimhen's perfect season in the Italian Serie A.

The Super Eagles striker has been celebrated globally for his exploits in the league this season.

The 24-year-old currently leads the goalscorers chart with 24 goals.

He also surpassed George Weah's record for most goals for an African player in the league on Sunday when Napoli faced Udinese.

Weah held the record for 19 years, scoring 46 goals.

While Osimhen has been applauded for achieving the feat in only his second season in the league, Ghanaians believe he can ultimately be crowned Africa's best at the next award ceremony.
