Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino has said there is still room for Nicolas Jackson to improve following his hat-trick against rivals Tottenham Hotspur.

Jackson was the man of the moment during the chaotic London derby staged at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Monday night.

The encounter lived up to its billing, with the Blues coming from a goal down to end Tottenham's unbeaten Premier League run.

According to The Mirror, the tie saw four goals disallowed, with Spurs reduced to nine men after red cards to Christian Romero and Iyenoma Udogie.

Dejan Kulusevski opened the scoring for the hosts in the sixth minute before Cole Palmer equalised for Chelsea from the penalty spot in the 35th minute.

Jackson went on to bag a hat-trick to inspire the visitors to a thrilling win away from home.

Pochettino sends Jackson message

Poch, who was returning to Tottenham for the first time since his 2019 sacking, has now sent his Starman a message after his hat-trick against his former side.

The Chelsea boss exuded confidence that the youngster's treble could push him to greater heights in the coming weeks.

"He is so young and came from Spain, different league and he needs to improve. I hope this hat-trick can allow him to play more relaxed and find the confidence he needs," Poch said, as quoted by Metro UK.

"I am happy for him because we know that when strikers don’t score, they suffer. So that is for people to think. He is really young, arrived to the club this summer, and it’s not easy to play for Chelsea. It’s the history, about winning, lifting trophies," he added.
