Ndidi races against time for PL return against Forest

Premier League outfit Leicester City are hoping that Wilfred Ndidi could recover in time for their PL fixture against Nottingham Forest on October 3.

The 26-year-old sustained an injury at the camp of the Super Eagles in Constantine, Algeria where Nigeria were camping ahead of their friendly against Algeria.

The defensive midfielder returned to England for a medical scan which revealed that he suffered a grade one hamstring injury.

Ndidi will face his Super Eagles teammates, Emmanuel Dennis and Taiwo Awoniyi if he passes a late fitness test ahead of the clash at the King Power Stadium.

Brendan Rogers' side are currently stuck at the bottom of the Premier League table after managing just a single point in 8 Premier League outings.
