Bayer Leverkusen winger Nathan Tella confirmed that he is hoping for a chance to play for the Super Eagles of Nigeria despite being born in the United Kingdom.

The former Southampton winger was born in Lambeth, South London, England, to Nigerian parents.

The 24-year-old didn't feature for any of the England national youth team set-up, and he is still eligible to play for Nigeria as things stand.
