Napoli preparing for life after Osimhen

Napoli boss Luciano Spalletti has shortlisted some players as potential replacement for Victor Osimhen ahead of next summer should in case the talisman departs the club at the end of the season.

The Naples-based team have embraced the fact that keeping the Nigerian international for another season will be a nearly impossible task considering his staggering numbers.

Osimhen, 23, has been in blistering form for the Partanopeans this season scoring 10 goals across all competitions this season despite missing weeks of action to injury.

The ex-Lille striker is also the highest scorer in the Serie A with 9 goals in 11 outings.

Osimhen's impressive performance has not gone unnoticed as his form has caught the eye of big clubs in Europe.

Real Madrid, Tottenham Hotspurs and Juventus have all reportedly been linked with a move for the Super Eagles striker.

According to Napoli sporting director, Peppe Cannella, the asking price for Osimhen has now risen above €100m.
