Napoli fan berates Nigerians, reveals How it’s a security problem when Osimhen walks on streets of Naples

A Naples resident currently working in Abuja, Nigeria, has disclosed that it is a huge security problem whenever Victor Osimhen walks on the streets.

Pablo is surprised that Nigerians are not ‘head over heels’ about the striker who is leading the scorer chart in the Italian Serie A this season with 21 goals.

Osimhen arrived at Napoli from French club Lille in the summer of 2020 in a deal worth an initial €50 million plus add-ons.

The lad has established a relationship with fans of the club and residents of Naples. In a chat with Sports Brief, Pablo said: “I am sure Osimhen has a problem in Naples because people love him so much.

"He can't walk in the streets; it will be a security problem if he goes around. If you go to Naples and tell them you're the brother of Osimhen, everywhere will be free for you."

Pablo also expressed disappointment that Nigerians are not ‘crazy’ about the 24-year-old, comparing it to how big and popular Osimhen is in Italy. He added: “I'm very disappointed with the Nigerian people because I live here (Nigeria) and people are not so much in love with Victor Osimhen. Nobody is in love with the Italian league.

“They just love him (in Napoli). This is his third year in Naples and he is a simple guy who helps the Nigerian community close to the train station in Naples.

This guy Victor Osimhen can go down as Nigeria's greatest football export to Europe.
