For the next two years, the Nigerian Television Authority will broadcast live English Premier League matches weekly.

This is coming after the television channel secured sub-licensed media rights to broadcast a live English Premier League match per week on free to air television for the 2019/2022 rights cycle.

The partnership was made possible by leading sports marketing company, Integral Sponsorship and Experiential Marketing Limited who acquired a sub-license deal from Infront, a Sports Group company and current rights holder for Free-To-Air distribution in Sub-Saharan Africa.

In turn Integral has chosen NTA, as choice broadcaster for the matches.

NTA would also get to show the weekly EPL Magazine show to its viewers.

Recall that the Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed sought the sum of $500 million to transform the National television station to CNN status.
