NFF sends Super Eagles merchandise to Hilda Baci ahead of AFCON 2023

Guinness World Record holder Hilda Baci has received the Super Eagles merchandise ahead of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.

Three-time AFCON champions Nigeria are one of the favorites for the tournament, which starts in January.

Nigeria are drawn in the tricky Group A alongside hosts Ivory Coast, Equatorial Guinea and Guinea-Bissau.

Jose Peseiro’s men will begin their campaign at the tournament against the Elephants of Equatorial Guinea on January 14, and then four days later, they file out against the tournament host.

On January 22, Nigeria will play Guinea Bissau in their final group game as they are expected to progress to the knockout stage.

The Nigeria Football Federation has charged the boys to go for the title as the quest is themed “Let’s do it again”.

The last time Nigeria won the continental trophy was in 2013, when Stephen Keshi led the Super Eagles to their third triumph, having previously won it in 1980 and 1994, GOAL reports.

The NFF are already mobilising fans for the showpiece, and renowned chef Hilda Baci was spotted flaunting the Super Eagles AFCON 2023 merchandise.

She was captured the moment she received the items, such as a Super Eagles jersey, branded water bottle and key holder.

Baci showed appreciation after receiving the items and reiterated the AFCON 2023 theme, “Let’s do it again.”
