NFF, CAF, others celebrate Iheanacho at 26

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) and the Confederation of African Football (CAF) have joined other well-wishers to celebrate Leicester City forward Kelechi Iheanacho who turns 26 today October 3.

The NFF, CAF, Europa League, and FA Cup among other elite competitions, football federations, clubs, and fans took to social media to celebrate the ex-Manchester City forward in a tweeted statement on his special day.

The NFF wrote, “Happy birthday to @NGSuperEaglesforward,@67Kelechi. We wish you all the best today and always.”

CAF via its official Twitter handle wrote, “Exceptional #TotalEnergiesAFCON striker ✨ ???????? Happy birthday to @NGSuperEagles’ star @67Kelechi! ???? Have a great day ????”

Europe's second-tier club competition, EuropaLeague wrote: “???????? Kelechi Iheanacho in the #UEL ????Happy birthday, @67Kelechi@LCFC| #HBD”

Iheanacho has represented Nigeria at the U-17 level, U-20 level, and the Super Eagles.

He won the U-17 FIFA World Cup with Nigeria in 2013, scoring 6 times to emerge as the competition's top scorer.

Iheanacho has so far scored 12 goals in 44 caps for the Super Eagles.
