Abia Warriors head coach Imama Amapakabo admitted that his side didn’t do enough to get maximum points against Akwa United.

Abia Warriors played out a goalless draw with their visitors at the Okigwe township Stadium on Thursday.

Abia Warriors dominated the week 23 NPFL encounter from start to finish, but they failed to break down their visitors who defended with plenty of bodies at the back.

Amapakabo said his side is by and far the best team in the match, but admitted his forward players didn’t create enough dangerous situations to unsettle Akwa United’s defense.

“It wasn’t a bad game, I think, we didn’t do enough in the final third, even when the red card came, the numerical advantage won’t show if you keep possession of the ball, but it will become a big issue if you continue to flight the ball.”

“We had a situation, where our wide players were playing too far away from the strikers.”

“Akwa United defended for their lives with low lines and we were predictable in some of the things we did in the attack.” He said

The former Super Eagles handler said the players have to focus on the game against Jigawa Golden Stars.
