Mr Macaroni tips Messi to win World Cup

Popular Nigeria skit maker Mr Macaroni has tipped Lionel Messi and his Argentina side to win the ongoing FIFA World Cup.

The Paris Saint Germain man inspired La Albiceleste to a thumping 3-0 win against Croatia at the Lusail Iconic Stadium on Wednesday, December 13 to cement their place in the grand finale.

Two goals from Julian Alvarez and Messi from the spot fired the Copa America champions to yet another World Cup final after losing the last time out against Germany in 2014.

After the game, Mr Macaroni who is a staunch Cristiano Ronaldo fan hailed the seven-time Ballon d'Or winner and tipped Argentina as favourites to lift the prestigious trophy.

He, however, urged Messi fans to celebrate in peace and desist from trolling CR7 fans.

"Messi is going to win the World Cup. We have to rejoice with him.

"Messi FC, please no need to troll Ronaldo. Let’s all celebrate in peace.",Mr Macaroni tweeted.

Argentina will face either France or Morocco at the Lusail Iconic Stadium in the final on Sunday, December 18.
