Mourinho slams VAR as Manchester United drew 1-1 against Tottenham

Tottenham Hotspurs manager Jose Mourinho has slammed the Video Assistant Referee, VAR, after his side drew 1-1 against Manchester United on Friday.

Tottenham took the lead thanks to an error from David De Gea who couldn't handle a shot from Steven Bergwijn.

Towards the end of the game, Eric Dier brought down Paul Pogba in the box leading to Bruno Fernandez equalizing for United from the spot.

Reacting after the home game, Mourinho expressed his displeasure at the VAR.

“I am unhappy with the VAR, not the referee on the first, the referee can make a mistake but VAR is there to do the job.

“In the second I am unhappy with Jon Moss because he did not give the free kick leading up to it and then gave a penalty. In this case, the VAR gave the truth,” Mourinho told Sky Sports.
