Alejandro Garnacho grabbed all the headlines last Sunday when he scored an outrageous bicycle kick goal against Everton.

Lost in the shuffle was Andre Onana, who kept another clean sheet for Manchester United.

Sports Brief looks at the goalkeepers with the most clean sheets in the 2023-24 Premier League season after Onana’s latest shutout.

Most 23/24 EPL Clean Sheets

1. Andre Onana (Manchester United, 5)

Onana grabbed a share of first place in the clean sheet race after Manchester United recorded a 3-0 victory over Everton last Sunday.

He has five for the season, recording clean sheets in each of the Red Devils’ last three league matches.

Onana posted shutouts against Wolves on August 15 (1-0), Burnley on September 24 (1-0), Fulham on November 4 (1-0), Luton on November 11 (1-0), and last weekend’s match against Everton.

1. Sam Johnstone (Crystal Palace, 5)

Johnstone has been sensational for Palace this season, recording five clean sheets from their 13 league matches.

The English goalkeeper posted shutouts in wins against Sheffield United (1-0) and Burnley (2-0) and goalless draws against Fulham and Nottingham Forest.

His most outstanding performance this season came in Palace’s away game against Manchester United, with Johnstone recording a clean sheet at Old Trafford, per Sky

He has recorded five clean sheets for the Magpies this season, three of which came in consecutive league games against Brentford (1-0), Sheffield United (8-0), and Burnley (2-0).

He also posted shutouts against Crystal Palace (4-0) and Arsenal (1-0).

4. Alisson Becker (Liverpool, 4)

The Reds are right in the thick of the title race and have Alisson to thank for that. Liverpool have conceded the second-fewest goals in the Premier League this season, allowing just 11 this campaign.

Alisson has been solid for the Reds, recording four clean sheets.

The Brazilian goalkeeper posted shutouts against Aston Villa (3-0), Everton (2-0), Nottingham Forest (3-0), and Brentford (3-0).


4. Ederson (Manchester City, 4)

We know all about Erling Haaland and Manchester City’s potent attack, but their defence has also been spectacular this season.

They have conceded just 13 goals thus far this season, third-fewest in the Premier League.

Ederson has recorded four clean sheets for City this campaign, posting shutouts against Burnley (3-0), Newcastle United (1-0), Nottingham Forest (2-0), and in the Manchester derby against United (3-0).

4. David Raya (Arsenal, 4)

David Raya won his battle against Aaron Ramsdale to become Arsenal's starting goalkeeper and the results speak for themselves.

He has recorded four clean sheets for Arsenal in the Premier League this season, posting shutouts against Everton (1-0), Bournemouth (4-0), Manchester City (1-0), and Sheffield United (5-0).

4. Guglielmo Vicario (Tottenham Hotspur, 4)

Spurs fans were once dreaming of winning the Premier League title, going unbeaten in their first ten matches in the English top flight this season.

Guglielmo Vicario played a huge role in that strong start, recording four clean sheets for Spurs.

He posted shutouts against Manchester United (2-0), Bournemouth (2-0), Luton (1-0), and Fulham (2-0).
