Nigerian international Victor Moses will begin training in the next two weeks after being sidelined for six months.

The former Chelsea man has not featured for Spartak Moscow since last year August after suffering an achilles tendon injury during his side's 2-0 win against Ural.

The 32-year-old has made significant progress in his recovery and has been named in the club's squad for their training camp in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Speaking ahead of his return, the 2013 Nations Cup winner said, “When you have an Achilles injury like this, it normally takes time, six to seven months, to get yourself back into your normal rhythm.

“I’m working so hard to get back into full fitness, started to do a little bit with the team now, but hopefully maybe in about two weeks or so I should start a full session with the team.

“It’s just a matter of process, I just get to take it each day as it comes and the only way I can obviously overcome this is by working hard everyday, and to try and make sure I can get as fit as possible to come back and join the team fully.”

Moses scored twice in thrice prior to his long-term injury at the beginning of the season.
