Mohammed quits Kwara United after Nasarawa United defeat, Enyimba pick points away

Nasarawa United ended their poor run in the NPFL with a 2-0 win over Kwara United on Saturday.

After a winless run from opening six games, the Solid Miners finally picked their first win of the 2022-2023 campaign against fellow strugglers.

King Osanga gave Nasarawa United the lead after 10 minutes of the play and then Chinedu Ohanachom got the second in the 54th minute.Kwara United failed to react and the Solid Miners saw out a morale boosting victory.

With the victory over Kwara United, all the teams have now at least a game this season.

Meanwhile, Azeez Mohammed announced his resignation following the defeat. The news of the Coach’s resignation was made public immediately after the game. In another venue, Gombe United lost 1-2 at home to Enyimba at the Pantami Stadium.

Taiye Yusuf (12) got the goal for Gombe United, while Elijah Akanni (35)’ and Chukwuemeka Obioma (54) scored for the People’s Elephants.
