Moffi prefers Nice to West Ham

FC Lorient striker Terem Moffi is reported not to be keen on a move to Premier League outfit West Ham United.

The Daily Express reports that the 23-year-old would prefer a move to Ligue 1 outfit OGC Nice rather than a move to the London Stadium.

Lorient reached an agreement with West Ham United over a possible transfer for the Nigerian striker after the Hammers submitted a £20m bid plus £5m in add-ons.

Ryan Taylor of the Daily Express has shed light on the latest development on Moffi's transfer situation.

“From what I’m told on Moffi, he’s not actually too keen on joining West Ham,” he told GiveMeSport as quoted by The PUNCH.

“He’s quite happy at Lorient and if he was to move, he’d be open to joining Nice more so than West Ham – although he is interested in a Premier League move.”

The Super Eagles striker is enjoying his best season this term having netted 12 goals in 18 Ligue 1 appearances for Les Merlus.

He is second on the top scorer's chart in the French league with just a single goal behind Paris Saint-Germain's Kylian Mbappe who has managed 13 goals.

Moffi has a year and a half left on his contract at Lorient.
