Nigerian striker, Terem Moffi and Moroccan defender, Achraf Hakimi are among the African stars who have been shortlisted for the Best African Player in the French Ligue 1.

Moffi, 23, earned the nomination following his impressive display in the French topflight this season for both FC Lorient and OGC Nice.

The Super Eagles striker began the season on a blistering note scoring 12 goals for FC Lorient before securing a move to OGC Nice in the January transfer window.

After firing blanks in his first three games for Les Aiglons, the Nigerian striker rediscovered his goal-scoring boots for his new side.

Moffi has so far scored 16 goals in 27 league appearances this season.

Among the other African stars nominated for the award are: Yunis Abdelhamid (Reims), Mama Baldé (Troyes), Mohamed Camara (Monaco), Habib Diallo (Strasbourg), Seko Fofana (Lens), Chancel Mbemba (Marseille), Marshall Munetsi (Reims), Salis Abdul Samed (Lens), and Hamari Traoré (Rennes).
