Messi reveals why Barcelona will not win champions league

Lionel Messi has said that Barcelona will not win this season's UEFA Champions League title if they continue to play the way they do.

Messi made this known this after Barcelona lost 2-1 to Osasuna.

The loss saw Real Madrid extend their lead at the top of the La Liga to seven points which got them crowned champions last night.

The only chance Barcelona has towards ending the season with a trophy is by winning the Champions League.

They host Napoli in the second leg of their UCL round of 16 tie after the first leg ended 1-1 in Italy.

“I said it before that if we continued playing as we were, it would be difficult to win the Champions League and now it’s clear it wasn’t even enough to win La Liga.

“We have to change a lot because if we don’t, we will lose against Napoli as well. We need a little time to clear our heads and then to think about the Champions League, which starts from zero,” Messi said.
