Messi is infinity: Inter Miami star bags 8th Ballon d'Or

Argentina captain Lionel Messi has won the 2023 Ballon d'Or award in France.

The 36-year-old has now clinched the prestigious award for a record 8th time in his career.

It comes after the former Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain star led Argentina to win its third FIFA World Cup in Qatar

The Inter Miami star scored seven goals for La Albiceleste including a brace against France in the final.

Manchester City's Erling Haaland and PSG's Kylian Mbappe finished in second place and third place respectively.
