Here we go again.

Messi helped Inter Miami force extra time against FC Cincinnati, delivering two assists to Leonardo Campana in the second half of their U.S. Open Cup semis showdown.

Messi helped set up Campana’s goals in the 68th and 90th minutes to make the game 2-2 for Inter Miami.

Luciano Acosta opened the scoring for FC Cincinnati with a wonderful strike in the 18th minute.

Brandon Vazquez then doubled Cincinnati’s lead with a goal in the 53rd minute.

Just when it seemed Inter Miami had run out of ideas, Messi stepped up and gave his team a lifeline.

He delivered an assist to Leonardo Campana to cut FC Cincinnati’s lead to 2-1 in their U.S. Open Cup semifinal showdown.

The Argentine star’s cross with his set-piece found Campana, who headed home the goal in the 68th minute.

With time winding down in regulation, Messi and Campana combined again to tie the match at 2-2.

Messi found Campana inside the box with an inch-perfect cross. Campana didn’t waste Messi’s fantastic delivery, scoring a header past the Cincinnati goalkeeper for the late equalizer.

Josef Martinez gave Inter Miami a 3-2 lead in extra time when he scored a goal in the 94th minute.

The Herons failed to hold on to that lead, though, with Yuya Kubo scoring an equalizer for FC Cincinnati in the 114th minute.

Inter Miami completed the comeback in the shootout, winning 5-4 on penalties to advance to another cup final.
